Our Staff

Christopher R. Schwenker, P.T., the owner, founder and director of Complete Rehab & Sport, graduated from Wm. Floyd High School as Valedictorian and honored as a News12 Scholar-Athlete.  Upon receiving a full academic scholarship to Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts as a Justice Brandeis Scholar, Chris studied towards a degree in Biology while playing soccer for the Division 3 Judges.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts.  Christopher graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from The School of Health Technology and Management at SUNY-Stony Brook achieving the McTernan Honor Award with a 4.0 GPA and Summa Cum Laude honors.  When not devoted to his family and practice, Christopher competes as an amateur cyclist for the East End Cycling Team's GreenArmBandits (www.greenarmbandits.com) sponsored by the Kreb Cycle of Bellport, NY. 
 
Michele Rauer, PTA Supervisor, graduated from Hofstra University upon achieving a B.A. of Business Administration.  Following a ten year sales career, during which time she received certification as a personal trainer and built a strong clientele, Michele was motivated to pursue her passion for health and wellness.  Michele was employed by Complete Rehab & Sport upon her graduation from Suffolk County Community College's Physical Therapy Assistant program where she has rapidly ascending to her supervisory role.  Despite the demands placed upon her by family and career, Michele remains committed to a healthy lifestyle by staying active in her local fitness center and training and competing as a triathlete. 
  
Karen Bath, PTA, ATC  Aide Supervisor/Educator, received her BA from Queens College and MS from Brooklyn College before embarking upon a >30 year career as a PE and Health teacher and Certified Athletic Trainer for a local league 1 high school.  During her esteemed career as an educator and trainer, Karen served as an athletic trainer for the World Scholar-Athlete games, the '96 Olympics in Atlanta, and the International games for the Disabled.  Not satisfied, Karen furthered her education and was successful in becoming a licensed Physical Therapists Assistant upon completion of course study at Suffolk County Community College.  In addition to the mutiple skills Karen has gained, she is also a Reiki practitioner.
 
Karen Graffeo, MS PT, graduated with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Springfield University and has been practicing since 1996.  Karen initially became interested in pursuing a career in the therapy field after suffering a severe knee injury while attending high school.  Karen is a highly skilled manual therapist whose outcomes are excellent.  In addition, Karen presently holds the Director of Sub-Acute Rehabilitation position at Southampton Nursing Facility, whereupon she supervises an extensive staff with focus upon neurologic, geriatric, orthopedic, post-amputee, traumatic brain injury and cardiac rehab.  Karen's clinical superiority and genuine compassion for her patients makes her a tremendous asset to the CRS family.
 
Franklin Fischer, PTA Staff  After many years playing competitive sports injuries found Frank in many physical therapy clinics.  There he cultivated great interest in the body's function and its healing properties.  He saw his ability to empathize with the rehab population as an asset to the field.  After attending Suffolk County Community College he accepted a position at Complete Rehab & Sport.  Frank takes pride in assisting his patients in healing and returning to their lives.  Frank is continually looking for new and more effective ways to help his patients through his vast experience and continuing education.
